Here is what you need to do for your wiki assignment:
Step 1: Click on your group number to access your group wiki. o To edit your group wiki, click on "Edit" at the top right hand side of the document. o Always hit "Save" or your changes will not be accepted o If you happen to be working on the wiki and you see a message asking if you want to see recent changes... the answer to that question is yes! As a rule of thumb... if someone took the time to save something, you want it... if it's a draft, you don't want it.
Step 2: Use the guidelines on the mtl-7thgradeegyptexperience Wiki for information on what you need for your particular wiki project. o Be sure to include all needed information. Read the directions carefully. o Complete a Web Evaluation Form for every site (even ones at which you just look). o Provide your citations (or a link to your citations) on your wiki page. o Do not write on any wiki page other than your own. o Be sure to use the Discussion Board. o Fill out the Reflection Log Form.
Tips on Editing (Using the Buttons): If you hover your mouse over a button, it will tell you its function. Here are the ones I find most useful:
"Color" and Style" Button The capital T will be your best friend. o Use this button to change colors, sizes, and styles o Use this button to change justification
"Horizontal Rule" Button o Add gray horizontal lines
"Insert Link" Button o Link any highlighted text to a website/image of your choice o Use the other button to remove the link
"Insert Images and Files" Button o Add images. o Another box will appear to help you edit your images.
"Embed Widget" Button o For those who are very comfortable with digital media. I invite you to use your creativity. "Insert Table" Button o Create tables or boxes
"Insert Code" Button o For those who understand HTML code
